Want a vintage style historical case for your Macbook Pro? A traditional Macbook case or sleeve or a case for your iPhone?

If you own a Macbook Pro laptop, or basically any other product from Apple such as an iPhone 3G, 3GS or the new iPhone 4, or an iPod Touch, you'll know how important it is to protect their shiny surfaces.

Sure, they're tough... but if you're prone to dropping your phone or you want the snazzy silver casing on your Macbook to last for years, then it's a good idea to buy a quality case or skin for them.

I have an inCase cover for my iPhone...I've had it for years - it's quite good, very sturdy and whilst it doesn't protect the iPhone screen, it keeps the shiny black back of the iPhone from scuffing and becoming scratched.

And I have to say, whilst the case itself is not very 'pretty', it's extremely practical and has been an easy way for me to stop the lovely shiny black surface from scratching with everyday use (and because I tend to 'throw' it down on my desk without a second thought where people have found that it causes the back of the iPhone to scratch and scuff, and eventually it just looks dull and that's not great for resale value of your iPhone if you wish to sell it when you upgrade your iPhone to the new model).

So, any of the inCase cases are quite good.  You can get them at all Apple stores and quite a lot of online retailers, including the whole range on Amazon.  They also come in a variety of colors, but I just stuck with traditional black because it just matches my black iPhone and doesn't take away from the look of the iPhone as much.

I think next time I'll go for the white iPhone and get a white case, but the black has been good too!  It would be nice to have a change next time though.  Those white iPhones do look quite unique!

And don't forget to get a screen protector - they work well on their own if you're not too worried about keeping the shiny back of your iPhone clean and perfect...or if you have a case that doesn't cover the screen you can use it in conjunction with the case itself to protect your entire iPhone casing and screen from all damage.  The splash Masque is great because it is such a thin film and it won't slip off but it provides enough coverage yet you can still see through it perfectly without glare.

So how about keeping your Macbook free from scratches and dents?  Well, there's a few options...I am completely in love with unique designs and I stumbled across this one designed like a book! Yep, an old antique looking book! But it really houses and protects your Macbook Pro (comes in all sizes to fit any Apple laptop) whilst disguising it like a book...genius and totally unique in my opinion! I just adore it. I've just bought one and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I wasn't sure what sort of case to get for my new 15 inch Macbook so it's been 'naked' since I purchased it a few months ago, but I do really need something to keep it safe but still look stylish when travelling.

I was considering buying a black leather 'executive' style Coach bag to carry it in (there's plenty of those on eBay at the moment), since I like the fact that they have a shoulder strap...and I might still buy one of those in the future for long trips and I could still keep the MacBook IN its 'book' case and still carry it inside a Coach laptop bag, but for now this will work fine.

And if you're anything like me, you adore vintage and historical inspired goodies! Especially when you can team them up with new technology!

The old and the new collide! You can check it out - it's made by TwelveSouth and it's called the BookBook! (cute name!) - http://twelvesouth.com/products/bookbook/

Anywhere, here's what this beauty looks like... it comes in two gorgeous colours, depends if you like a splash of colour or not...

Isn't it just whimsical!

But if you're looking for something a bit more traditional...hehe...I mean 'modern'...there's plenty of great brands and sleek looking designs on the market - such as see through cases, contemporary black cases, cases where you can still see the lit-up Apple logo on the lid of the laptop, portfolio sleeves for taking your Macbook Pro to work, cases with handles, colorful cases, hard shell cases and everything in between...

...here's some of the most popular to protect your Macbook Pro ...

Zazzle now has Harry Potter and Hogwarts merchandise!

Zazzle is now selling Harry Potter merch! How awesome is that!?

I adore the Hogwarts school binder! I'm going to be keeping my college stuff organized in this.

I was really happy when Zazzle started stocking Disney movie merchandise, but they always lacked Harry Potter t-shirts and other random gear. They've got an excellent range of stuff on there now...finally! The Hogwarts mousepads look awesome! They've even got Harry Potter postage stamps, and house merch too. They have Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw t shirts, and t-shirts and other products with all the movie characters - there's images from the Half Blood Prince, the Order of the Phoenix and all the way back!

They even have all the house crests and Harry Potter phrases too! I think you can even buy the wanted posters for all the deatheaters! They have so much stuff on there now! Even the movie posters which you can get on tshirts!

The iPhone 4

The buzz surrounding the new iPhone has been intense - perhaps not quite as crazy as for the previous releases from Apple, but it's created quite a stir nonetheless!

As we're still waiting for the release of the iPhone 4 here in Australia, us non-US/UK peeps must be content with the reviews piling up all over YouTube highlighting all the new features including the new OS as well as all the built-in specs including the 5mp camera and HD video recording. The ability to multi-task and change the wallpaper on the interface instead of just the lock screen are also handy features with the new iPhone.

It will be a welcome upgrade for me once the iPhone 4 finally hits Australian stores as I'm still using the iPhone 3G (nope, no iPhone 3Gs for me...I was smart...I knew I should wait for something better!)

Anyway, SoldierKnowsBest has posted a great overview and review covering all of this and more about the iPhone 4...check it out! He has excellent geeky videos!

Cute cupcakes ahoy!

I liked cupcakes before they were 'cool'. But I must admit the cupcake craze of the last few years has given me much inspiration.

I adore girly cupcake designs and I've recently become addicted to Wilton icing tips and cupcake-papers. They have so much to offer and are an extremely high quality baking brand. However, that's not really the key point of this post. Apart of simply sharing my love of all things cupcakey! (is that a word?...it is now!) I thought I'd let you know how much I also adore stickers! They plaster my journals and my diary, and just about everything I own! (even my glasses case couldn't escape my custom sticker obsession)

So, to combine my loves was something I couldn't pass up...if you enjoy cupcakes too...show off your pride as a 'cupcake lover' with these adorably cute stickers, you get 6 in the sheet if you choose the large size or more if you choose the smaller size option-

Happy baking ladies, and enjoy! :D

A bit of geeky talk girls...

I hope those of you who read this have had an enjoyable and relaxing festive season.

Now it's time to dust off the '09 failures, mistakes and regrets, and kick 2010 into overdrive! *fingers crossed* So, make tomorrow matter.

Now, into some content. This isn't strictly 'girly' related, but as I am a bit of a geek girl at heart, I thought I'd share my joyous anticipation regarding the release of the reportedly named 'iSlate' or the new Apple tablet PC basically. I like to call it the giant iPod touch! As an iPhone user (and major iPhone fan!) I like the idea of the similar look and feel (only bigger!) of this product going on the released images. It sounds like it may retail for around $1000, so I am not certain what it will be selling for here in Australia, I hope it's not much more than that. As long as it has the capability to plug in a mouse and perhaps a keyboard, and of course be able to use a stand with it to give the added option of using it at home on the desk. I'd be pretty much sold on this one! We'll just have to wait and see.

By the way, on a similar Apple tech note, has anybody heard anything new related to the release of the iPhone 4G? I'm still satisfied with my iPhone 3G but it would be nice to have a better camera and perhaps for webpages to load a bit faster.

But I'm not complaining, I'm happy with what my iPhone 3G allows me to do, and just for me having my iPod & phone in the one device is heaven. Absolute heaven for a handbag!
