If you own a
Macbook Pro laptop, or basically any other product from Apple such as an
iPhone 3G, 3GS or the new iPhone 4,
or an iPod Touch, you'll know how important it is to protect their shiny surfaces.
Sure, they're tough... but if you're prone to dropping your phone or you want the snazzy silver casing on your Macbook to last for years, then it's a good idea to buy a quality case or skin for them.
I have an
inCase cover for my
iPhone...I've had it for years - it's quite good, very sturdy and whilst it doesn't protect the iPhone screen, it keeps the shiny black back of the iPhone from scuffing and becoming scratched.
And I have to say, whilst the case itself is not very 'pretty', it's extremely practical and has been an easy way for me to stop the lovely shiny black surface from scratching with everyday use (and because I tend to 'throw' it down on my desk without a second thought where people have found that it causes the back of the iPhone to scratch and scuff, and eventually it just looks dull and that's not great for resale value of your iPhone if you wish to sell it when you upgrade your iPhone to the new model).
So, any of the inCase cases are quite good.
You can get them at all Apple stores and quite a lot of online retailers, including the whole range on Amazon. They also come in a variety of colors, but I just stuck with traditional black because it just matches my black iPhone and doesn't take away from the look of the iPhone as much.
I think next time I'll go for the
white iPhone and get a white case, but the black has been good too! It would be nice to have a change next time though. Those white
iPhones do look quite unique!
And don't forget to get a screen protector - they work well on their own if you're not too worried about keeping the shiny back of your
iPhone clean and perfect...or if you have a case that doesn't cover the screen you can use it in conjunction with the case itself to protect your entire iPhone casing and screen from all damage. The
splash Masque is great because it is such a thin film and it won't slip off but it provides enough coverage yet you can still see through it perfectly without glare.
So how about keeping your
Macbook free from scratches and dents? Well, there's a few options...I am completely in love with unique designs and I stumbled across this one designed like a book! Yep, an old antique looking book! But it really houses and protects your
Macbook Pro (comes in all sizes to fit any
Apple laptop) whilst disguising it like a book...genius and totally unique in my opinion! I just adore it. I've just bought one and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I wasn't sure what sort of case to get for my new 15 inch
Macbook so it's been 'naked' since I purchased it a few months ago, but I do really need something to keep it safe but still look stylish when travelling.
I was considering buying a black leather 'executive' style
Coach bag to carry it in (there's plenty of those on eBay at the moment), since I like the fact that they have a shoulder strap...and I might still buy one of those in the future for long trips and I could still keep the
MacBook IN its 'book' case and still carry it inside a
Coach laptop bag, but for now this will work fine.
And if you're anything like me, you adore vintage and historical inspired goodies! Especially when you can team them up with new technology!
The old and the new collide! You can check it out - it's made by TwelveSouth and it's called the
BookBook! (cute name!) -

But if you're looking for something a bit more traditional...hehe...I mean 'modern'...there's plenty of great brands and sleek looking designs on the market - such as see through cases, contemporary black cases, cases where you can still see the lit-up
Apple logo on the lid of the laptop, portfolio sleeves for taking your
Macbook Pro to work, cases with handles, colorful cases, hard shell cases and everything in between...
