I've got a passion for all things fun, funky, glittery and girly! Often with a unique edge. And it's always fab to hear what you love and what's the best-of-the-best out there...
I love to share, especially when it's something I've had a good experience with or a brand or product I'm into at the moment.
There'll be plenty of handbags, jewelry, candles, shoes, funky quills and journals, some home decor, beauty and cosmetic products, and other pretty stuff! And the occasional food-fest because I could rant about comfort food all day. Bring on the ice-cream, Krispy Kremes and anything with melted cheese!
I'm all about the neutral, natural look...but nothing beats a splash of colour, whether it be a gorgeous handbag or a bright scarf. I adore flowy, textured clothing. I'm not a fashion-victim, I am drawn to what is soft on my eyes. And I'm a big believer in the phrase "jeans go with everything!" I'm a big denim addict. I wear jeans even in the middle of summer. You can dress them up or down and they are just extremely comfortable to wear. You can't beat them!
Light perfumes are my fragrance of choice...L'Occitane's rose scents in particular. They are to-die-for.
I'm a shimmer and frost lover when it comes to eyeshadow. Not big on the bright coloured shadows, but give me shimmery shadow and I'm good to go! You can pull off glitter and shimmer when you keep the colour neutral. I'm not into liner at all, but mascara is what sets off a simple eye look for me.
As I said, I'm not into bright shadows or dark eyeliner looks...my priority is a flawless glowing face with the perfect pink blush and shiny lips. I rather the focus to be on the subtlety of the highlight, the sweep of rose on the cheeks and the pop of the lips. I also wear glasses, so I don't like to spend a long time perfecting a smokey eye look that I'm only going to detract from as soon as I put on my black frames! The lips are where it's at for me, and a volume boosting lipgloss is my best friend as I walk out the door. All hail lip plumping gloss!
In the shoe department, I'm all about boots! Ankle boots, mid-calf and occasionally knee-high! But usually anything I can wear with jeans is what I gravitate towards! Black is my go-to colour, but I adore red suede...if there's a good quality red (or even purple- my favourite colour) suede pair in the store, I can never resist. As for casual and just around-town wear, I'm a lover of the comfort and range of Converse. I have my white pair at the moment, which overseas travel has taken a toll upon, but I'm due for a few bright coloured pairs. Again, a staple with jeans! And my sandals of choice are nearly always plain black strappy ones, usually from Sandler or Diana Ferrari.
As for cosmetics, I do try to go natural with as many things as is convenient for me. I'm on the hunt for a natural facial moisturiser and body mist or lotion...so if anyone knows of any good ones, let me know!?
As for my other general beliefs - film is the best escape ever, music is the soundtrack to life, theatre is life on steroids, denim is the 8th wonder of the world, if it's not made of suede or silk it's not worth owning, one can never have too many scarves (or handbags), a world without chocolate is like a bar with no beer and an iPhone is the best accessory a girl can have.
So gals, I hope you can keep up with my ranting as I can get rather verbose at times, but hear me out as I have a big heart, a quirky sense of humour and a bright eye for all things cute and girly! :D Cheers and come along for the ride.
